Welcome to Banwell Primary School’s web-site.  I do hope you find the information on this site useful, whether you are a prospective parent choosing a school or one our existing parents looking for that elusive lost newsletter from the depths of your child’s school bag!
I feel very proud to be the Headteacher of this truly special Village Primary School.  Presently we have 192 amazing children as well as a couple of spaces in some Year Groups for a few more!  At Banwell we pride ourselves in our ‘open door’ policy, fantastic, hardworking staff and governors and extremely supportive parents.

The school is very well respected within the North Somerset Community for its caring and welcoming atmosphere.  Everyone involved with Banwell Primary is focussed upon high standards and a special team spirit committed to developing the whole child by ensuring learning is fun, children feel safe, self-esteem is high and everyone is happy.

Our most recent full Ofsted Inspection in June 2009 helped verify what we already know about Banwell Primary: ‘A good school with outstanding features’.  Two of these ‘outstanding ‘areas being our work with parents and for the care, guidance and support offered to the children in our care. 

Ofsted reports, school websites and the school prospectus are all very important but there’s nothing better than seeing a school first-hand.  At Banwell, we have so much more to offer than what can be seen from the road on which it sits, so do give us a ring, an email or just drop by to arrange a chat with myself and see the school and its staff and pupils in action.  We promise you will not be disappointed!

Tours of Banwell Primary School will run at the following times:
1.30pm, 2.00pm or 5.30pm.
Banwell Buddies Pre School will be open anytime between 1.30-2.00pm.
