How we can support you

We are aware and understand the concerns and problems families may face this winter with the cost of living crisis, rising bills and the pressures of Christmas. All of these worries can have an impact on mental health and wellbeing, both for children and adults alike. Banwell Primary School want to help in any way we can, with resources in this section, practical support and a coffee and chat whenever you need it. I hope you find the resources on here useful, but if there is something specific you need, please ask.

I also wanted to let you know that we are still able to access the the Foodbank hub being run from Banwell Children's Centre. This is in partnership with Banwell Parish Council and Weston Foodbank. It is being run in the same way as usual, where we can issue a voucher for a food parcel. But instead of it needing to be collected from the Weston depot, we can make up the boxes at the centre and you can take them with you. If you need to use our food hub, let me know by emailing me at

Positive Mental health and well-being are always a major focus within school, and we continue to deliver well-being sessions each day in every class. We also have Sammy, a Mental Health practitioner from the MHST, coming into school every Thursday. She is delivering 1:1 CBT sessions, parent programs and class workshops to support our Mental Health provision.

If you have any questions about our well-being program or if there is anything I can help with, please contact me via phone, email or catch me at the main gate each morning.
